Lauren Southwick MPH
Senior Research Project Manager

Lauren Southwick is a senior research project manager at the Penn Medicine Center for Digital Health. Her research focuses on how digital media data and digital communication can be used to improve psychiatric evaluation and treatment. She is also interested in health communication, digital literacy, as well as policy, systems, and environmental change approaches.  

Before joining the team, Lauren worked at New York University College of Global Public Health in the Division of Social Epidemiology. She graduated from Franklin & Marshall College with a bachelor's degree in sociology. She earned her master's degree in public health from the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health in the Department of Social and Behavioral Sciences, where she concentrated on health communication and social/behavioral change theories.
